A Civil Action Paragraph Response

If we polute the world, we are polluting our resources. people think that they can go around throwing their trash everywhere, and still have a safe clean planet. In the movie A Civil Action John Travoltas character Jan Schlichtmann comes across a case where peoples children in this small town are dying of lukemia due to drinking posinous water. if we are mean to our earth, then the earth is going to be "mean" to us.

This movie sounds a lot like Erin Brokovich. Did you see that one? I really like John Travolta and this sounds like an important movie to see. I agree that citizens need take action if manufacturers are carelessly polluting the environment. Luckily there are people who take action and willing to take pro bono work to make sure that people are protected. In Erin Brokovich (spelling?) the water was polluted and citizens were dying. Erin was not a lawyer but she knew something was strange when so many people were dying in the community. Sometimes it takes ordinary citizens to speak up for others in harm. In this movie it was a very poor community and Erin was a single mom who didn't have a college degree. Have you been reading about China and the baby formula? The Chinese government wouldn't allow information to leak out during the Olympics! That is pretty scary, don't you think?
Anyway, I enjoyed reading your response. Take care. Alicia
